What is machine vision technology?

In a general way, machine vision includes image processing, mechanical engineering technology, motion control, electric light source lighting, optical imaging, sensors, analog and digital video technology, computer software and hardware technology (image enhancement and analysis algorithms, image cards, I/O cards, etc.). A complete machine vision application system includes image capture, light source system, image digitization module, digital image processing module, intelligent judgment decision-making module and mechanical control execution module.

The most basic feature of machine vision system is to improve the flexibility and automation of production. With the progress and development of industry, in high-end intelligent manufacturing, there are many dangerous working environments that are not suitable for manual work or where it is difficult to meet the requirements by relying on manual visual inspection in production and manufacturing processes. Therefore, machine vision must be used to replace manual visual inspection. At the same time, in the mass repetitive industrial production process, the machine vision inspection method can greatly improve the production efficiency and the consistency of inspection quality, as well as greatly provide the degree of automation in the manufacturing process.
